Lyons Township District Library

Who We Are Now

The Lyons Township District Library is located at 240 E. Bridge Street in Lyons, Michigan.

The library system holds over 21,210 materials including over 19,175 books, and 338 Books on Disc. Over 1,349 DVDs are also now available for check-out.

In total, over 50,791 items were circulated during fiscal year 2011-12! In addition to these items, thousands of people entered the library to utilize print and electronic reference resources, access the Internet, enjoy state-of-the-art Wi-fi service, view a Community Art exhibit, or attend one of the Library’s many events.

Our friendly and professional staff is eager to serve you.

It is the mission of the Lyons Township District Library to provide free public library services to the communities comprising the Library District as a whole.  It will procure and make available to the general public quality materials and services which fulfill the informational, cultural, recreational, and educational needs of the entire community in an atmostphere that is friendly, welcoming, respectful, and businesslike.

The goal of the Lyons Township District Library is to provide a pleasant setting and appropriate atmosphere for the use of educational, reference and popular materials.  The Library is a place to read, study, do research, use the library equipment or attend library programs.  To this end, the Library is responsible for establishing rules of conduct to protect the rights and safety of Library patrons and staff.
